Types of Betting

Single โ€” a bet on the outcome of one match

The result depends solely on the outcome of a single event. The payout is calculated by multiplying the odds by the bet amount.

Accumulator โ€” a bet on outcomes of two or more matches

This type of bet includes multiple singles, with the total odds being the product of all individual odds.

System โ€” an advanced version of the accumulator

A system bet allows you to create a predefined number of accumulator combinations from selected outcomes.

If one or more events lose, the player can still get a payout.

Working with Bookmakers

Can I bet with multiple bookmakers at once?

Yes, it is allowed and even recommended.

Due to competition, bookmakers offer better betting conditions.

This benefits customers by allowing them to choose from wider markets, higher odds, better bonuses, and more.

So registering with multiple bookmakers is almost a necessity to maximize your profit.

Basic Terms and Notations

As with anything else, betting requires solid knowledge, skills, and experience โ€” and all this must be learned. Learning from scratch takes time, just like any other discipline. In this section, we’ve gathered the essential knowledge base.

We strongly recommend starting real betting only after reading all articles in this section!

Key Terms:

  • Bet โ€” a prediction on a match, game, or specific event.
  • Bettor โ€” a person who places bets.
  • Square โ€” an inexperienced bettor who bets impulsively or always on favorites with low odds.
  • Odds โ€” the bookmaker’s estimation of the outcome’s probability.
  • Bookmaker โ€” the entity accepting bets.
  • Capper โ€” a sports analyst and betting professional.
  • Bankroll โ€” the amount of money allocated for betting.
  • Single โ€” a bet on one event.
  • Accumulator (parlay) โ€” a bet on 2 or more events.
  • Ladder (bankroll growth strategy) โ€” a sequence of bets aimed at increasing the bankroll to a target amount.
  • VIP-CHAT โ€” a closed chat offering high-success-rate tips.
  • Outcome โ€” the final result of a match: win, loss, or draw.
  • Line โ€” core betting markets: outcome, total, handicaps.
  • Prematch โ€” bets placed before the match starts.
  • Live betting โ€” bets placed during an ongoing match.
  • All-in โ€” betting the entire bankroll on one outcome; not recommended.

Bookmaker Notations:

Main outcomes (regular time):

  • P1 โ€” win of team 1.
  • P2 โ€” win of team 2.
  • X โ€” draw.

Double chance (regular time):

  • 1X โ€” win of team 1 or draw.
  • 2X โ€” win of team 2 or draw.
  • 12 โ€” win of team 1 or win of team 2.

Bookmaker Notations

Other events:

  • Goal time โ€” the segment of the match when a goal is scored.
  • Individual performance โ€” how many goals a specific player scores.
  • Cards, corners, fouls, red cards, shots on target, etc. โ€” the number of specific events during a match.

Both Teams to Score:

Usually, in the “Goals” section of a bookmaker, you can find the “both teams to score” market. For example, you can choose: “both to score: yes” or “both to score: no”. It’s useful when you’re confident both teams will score.

  • If you bet on “both to score: yes”, both teams must score at least one goal (doesnโ€™t matter how many, just that both score).
  • If you bet on “both to score: no”, then at least one team must not score (or both don’t score).

Total (regular time):

Total โ€” a bet on the number of goals (points, games, etc.) scored by participants. To win, you must predict whether the total will be over or under the line set by the bookmaker.

  • Over 2.5 (O2.5) โ€” more than 2.5 goals must be scored. In football, this means 3 or more. If fewer than 3 โ€” the bet loses.
  • Under 2.5 (U2.5) โ€” the match must have 2 or fewer goals.
  • Over 2 (O2) โ€” if 0 or 1 goal, the bet loses. 2 goals โ€” refund. 3 or more โ€” win.
  • Under 2 (U2) โ€” if 0 or 1 goal โ€” win. 2 goals โ€” refund. 3+ goals โ€” loss.

Total (regular time)

Individual Total (regular time):

  • IT1 Over (1) โ€” team 1 to score more than 1 goal. 2+ goals โ€” win. 1 goal โ€” refund. 0 โ€” loss.
  • IT2 Over (1.5) โ€” team 2 to score more than 1.5 goals. 2+ goals โ€” win. 1 or 0 โ€” loss.
  • IT1 Under (2) โ€” team 1 to score fewer than 2. 0 or 1 goal โ€” win. 2 โ€” refund. 3+ โ€” loss.
  • IT1 Under (3.5) โ€” team 1 to score fewer than 3.5. 3 or less โ€” win. 4+ โ€” loss.

Individual Total (regular time)

Handicaps (regular time):

  • Handicap can be positive โ€” usually marked with “+”, e.g., H1(+1), H1(+1.5), H2(+2), etc.
  • Handicap can be negative โ€” marked with “-”, e.g., H1(-1), H1(-1.5), H2(-2), etc.
  • Handicap can be zero, e.g., H1(0), H2(0).

Examples:

  • H1(0) โ€” team 1 to win with a 0-goal handicap. Draw โ€” refund. Win โ€” win. Loss โ€” loss.
  • H2(-1) โ€” team 2 must win by 2+ goals. Win by 1 โ€” refund. Draw/loss โ€” loss.
  • H1(-1.5) โ€” team 1 must win by 2+ goals. Win by 1, draw, or lose โ€” loss. No refund possible.
  • H1(+2) โ€” team 1 can lose by 0 or 1 goals, draw, or win โ€” bet wins. Lose by 2 โ€” refund. Lose by 3+ โ€” loss.
  • H1(+1.5) โ€” team 1 must not lose by 2 or more goals. Lose by 2+ โ€” bet loses.

Handicaps (regular time)

Proper Bankroll Management โœ…

  • Forget about “all-in” (betting your entire bankroll on one event)
  • Never stake more than 15% of your bankroll on a single outcome, and if the bet is marked as “Risk”, limit it to 5%!

This will significantly protect your funds and help them grow steadily! ๐Ÿ’ฐ
